IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals will not play their first two home games at the Arun Jaitley Stadium
IPL 2024 Schedule: BCCI announced the schedule of the first phase of the IPL 2024, It unveiled Delhi Capitals's first two matches will play at alternate vanue in Visakhapatnam.

IPL 2024: The schedule for the first 21 matches of upcoming IPL 2024 - from March 22 to April 7 was announced by BCCI. According to this schedule Delhi Capitals will play total 5 matches in this phase out of those 3 matches will be away and remaining 2 home matches are not gonna happen Capitals's regular home ground that is Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. Instead that Delhi Capitals will play their first two home matches in Vizag.
The main reason behind this the ongoing WPL 2024 which is started February 23, will be played across two legs of 11 matches, in Bengaluru and Delhi. The Arun Jaitley Stadium will host 11 consecutive WPL games from March 5, including the Eliminator on March 15 and the final on March 17. Although Delhi Capitals will play their first home match against defending champion Chennai Super Kings on March 31 and second on April 3 against Kolkata Knight Riders, this two matches are scheduled to be played at the DR. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in the city of Visakhapatnam.
While the Lok Sabha polls preparation is seen as one of the major reason for Delhi not playing their first two matches at home.
Delhi Capitals are likely to be led by Rishabh Pant as the wicketkeeper-batter is all set to make his much-awaited return to competitive cricket for the first time since he suffered multiple injuries in a road accident in December 2022.
