Australia vs India 3rd Test Match: The third match of the India vs Australia 5-match Border Gavaskar Trophy 2025 is being played at Gaba. Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first. There have been two changes in India's playing XI. Ravindra Jadeja replaced R Ashwin and Akashdeep replaced Harshit Rana. India has decided to field first in view of the overcast conditions, so Team India would like to take advantage of this in the first 10 overs.
The series is currently tied at 1-1, so both teams will be eyeing to win this match and take the lead in the series. With this victory, Australia not only equalized the series, but also spoiled India's equation for the WTC final.
Australia have made one change in their Playing 11, bringing in Hazlewood in place of Boland.

India Captain Rohit Sharma said at toss: "We're going to bowl first. Little bit overcast and little bit of grass, looks a bit soft as well, want to make best use of the conditions. Lot of cricket to be played, both teams have played good cricket in the last two games. Big game for us here, we'll do what is expected of us. We'll play good cricket, we understand we have to capture some moments, we didn't do that in the previous game which is why we lost. It's absolutely buzzing, the guys are looking forward to the match, we're looking forward to coming out here and playing. Looks a little soft at this point in time, conditions bit overcast as well, it will get better to bat as it goes on. We've made two changes, Jadeja and Akash back in place of Ashwin and Harshit."
Australia Captain Pat Cummins at toss: "We would've bowled first too. Been a fantastic series so far. Really happy with last week, just about everyone got into the series, been a good lead-up. Preperations have been pretty good. Early finish in Adelaide allowed us to come up here early and get settled. Just one change, Scott Boland is out for Hazlewood."
Gabba Pitch Report
The pitch of Gabba has always proved to be helpful for fast bowlers. This time 10 millimeters of grass is visible on the pitch. This will give bounce to the ball, along with it there will be swing and seam. There was a similar pitch in the Adelaide Test where there was six millimeters of grass. Indian batsmen were seen struggling in Adelaide. Gabba pitch curator David Sandersky said that they are not doing anything extra to make the wicket 'spicy' for fast bowlers.
