The Vitality T20 Blast tournament will begin on the 30th of May while the final will be played on the 14th of September. The tournament will feature 18 county teams as this year's tournament will be the 7th edition. Teams will be divided into two groups (South group & North group), comprising 9 teams each. Every team will play 14 group matches in which 7 games will be played at home while the other 7 will be played away.

From every group top two teams will qualify for the knockout stage. Last year Somerset won the tournament winning their second title. Somerset beat Essex Eagles in the final by 14 runs to win the title at Edgbaston. The two teams will start their respective campaigns facing each other on the 31st of May at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton. Five matches will be played on the opening day.

On the following a total of day eight matches would be played. On the 1st of June, two matches will be played while on the 2nd of June, six matches will be played. Passionate fans will witness some of the best players in action. Fans will be able to enjoy games on Fridays and weekends as more matches will be played on weekends.

Before the knockout games, there will be a big break while the group stage matches will be played from the 30th of May to the 19th of July. From the 3rd of September to the 6th of September quarter-finals will be played while the final to be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on the 14th of September.

Sony Sports Network will telecast the matches for viewers in India while Live streaming of matches will be on the Sony Liv app and website.
