ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and Team India: India will not go to Pakistan to play in the ICC Champions Trophy. All possibilities were exhausted on Sunday. The ICC has informed the Pakistan Board (PCB) in writing that the Indian cricket team will not be allowed to play in that country. The ICC informed the Pakistan board after receiving the e-mail from the Indian board (BCCI). India's matches may be played in UAE.

The ICC Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan next year. The schedule of this tournament has not been revealed yet. The schedule of the tournament was to be released on November 11. This tournament is to be played between 19 February and 19 March. However, things have changed after India refused to go to Pakistan. Pakistan has not yet agreed to organize the tournament on a hybrid model.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, the International Cricket Council has cancelled a key event related to next year's Champions Trophy, particularly due to the ongoing trouble with the scheduling of matches involving India. The ICC was scheduled to formally announce the schedule in Lahore on Monday (November 11), but it has been cancelled.

A source in the Pakistan Board told the news agency, “PCB has received an e-mail from ICC. BCCI will not send team to Pakistan for Champions Trophy, ICC said. They sent email to PCB. PCB sent the same e-mail to the Pakistan government seeking advice and help." There is no official response from the Pakistan Board yet. However, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi said on Friday that Pakistan will announce the official schedule only after receiving a written letter from the ICC.

On the other hand BCCI has repeatedly stated in the past that the Indian cricket team's visit to Pakistan is entirely dependent on the government's permission. As a result, it is believed that BCCI has sent this letter without getting the clearance from the government. In such a situation, PCB has no choice but to organize Champions Trophy in 'hybrid model'. That means India's matches will be played in other countries.

While watching the India-Bangladesh Test in Kanpur, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla said, "The Indian team's visit to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy next year depends on the approval of the central government. No final decision has been made yet. In case of any foreign visit, the permission of the central government is required. Permission is the rule. The center decides whether the Indian cricket team will tour a country or not. Everything depends on the government's decision.

Basically current situation of ICC Champions Trophy's is on one hand, ICC has cancelled the scheduled events, while India has also refused to go to Pakistan. This has increased the expectation that ICC and PCB may be forced to accept the hybrid model. Earlier, a new budget was also presented to get some matches held outside Pakistan.
