Full Player Retention List for WPL 2025 Has Been Announced
All the franchises have announced the names of retained and released players for the Women's Premier League 2025.
WPL 2025, Player Retention: For the third edition of the Women's Premier League, all the teams have released the list of retained and released players. This time there will be a mini auction of this league, so all the teams have retained most of the players. All the five franchises have not made any changes with their core group.
As per the rules of the Women's Premier League, each team can have a maximum of 18 players, including six foreign players. For the upcoming edition, the BCCI has increased the purse amount before the auction. It has been increased to Rs 15 crore. In the first season, it was Rs 12 crore, which was increased to Rs 13.5 crore in the second edition. So far the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not announced the auction dates.

Released Players: Aparna Mondal, Ashwani Kumari, Laura Harris*, and Poonam Yadav.
2) Gujarat Giants (GG)
Retained Players: Ashleigh Gardner*, Beth Mooney*, Bharti Fulmali, Dayalan Hemalatha, Harleen Deol, Kashvee Gautam, Laura Wolvaardt*, Mannat Kashyap, Meghna Singh, Phoebe Litchfield*, Priya Mishra, Sayali Satghare, Shabnam Shakil, and Tanuja Kanwer.
Released Players: Kathryn Bryce*, Lauren Cheatle*, Lea Tahuhu*, Sneh Rana, Tarannum Pathan, Trisha Poojitha, and Veda Krishnamurthy.
Gujarat Giants surprised everyone by releasing experienced all-rounder Sneh Rana. She was seen captaining the team in the first edition of the Women's Premier League.
3) Mumbai Indians (MI)
Retained Players: Amandeep Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Amelia Kerr*, Chloe Tryon*, Harmanpreet Kaur, Hayley Matthews*, Jintimani Kalita, Keerthana Balakrishnan, Natalie Sciver*, Pooja Vastrakar, S. Sajana, Saika Ishaque, Shabnim Ismail*, and Yastika Bhatia.
Released Players: Fatima Jaffer, Humairaa Kaazi, Isabelle Wong*, and Priyanka Bala.
4) Royal Challengers Bangaluru (RCB)
Retained Players: Asha Shobana, Dani Wyatt*, Ekta Bisht, Ellyse Perry*, Georgia Wareham*, Kanika Ahuja, Kate Cross*, Renuka Singh, Richa Ghosh, S. Meghana, Shreyanka Patil, Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine*, and Sophie Molineux*.
