Bangladesh Announces Squad for India Test Series: Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 16-member squad for the two-match Test series against India. Bangladesh team will tour India under the leadership of Nazmul Hossain Shanto. There can be a tough competition between India and Bangladesh in the Test series starting from 19th September.

The command of the team will be in the hands of Najmul Hussain Shanto. Whereas Shariful Islam will not be a part of the team. Zakir Ali was included in place of Shoriful Islam. Let us tell you that Shoriful Islam was part of the team for the two-Test series against Pakistan. Apart from this, the rest is the same team which was in the test series against Pakistan.

"Left-arm paceman Shoriful Islam is still recovering from a groin injury and was unavailable for the series," the Bangladesh Cricket Board said after naming a 16-member squad for the India tour.

Meanwhile, Jaker Ali Anik earned his maiden Test call-up for Bangladesh. The 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batter is the only uncapped player in the Test team, who has played 17 T20Is for the nation.

Star players including captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been included in the first test. Rishabh Pant has returned to wicketkeeper after a car accident. Pant played his last Test against Bangladesh in 2022.
