3 IND vs PAK records that might be broken in the Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2025

3 India vs Pakistan records that could be broken in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash – key milestones to watch in the big game.

3 IND vs PAK records that might be broken in the Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2025

India and Pakistan will face off against each other yet again in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 21, 2025 (Sunday) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the Super Four Stage. At the time of writing, India have won both their matches against UAE and Pakistan in the Super four stage and are yet to play against Oman.

On the other hand, Pakistan won their matches against Oman and the UAE and qualified for the Super Four. There will be tension in this match yet again, after the no-handshake controversy and incident in the previous game, after India beat them comfortably by seven wickets. However, we have some records in front of us which can be broken in the next IND vs PAK game.

1. Highest Individual Score in India vs. Pakistan T20Is

Virat Kohli scored an epic unbeaten 82 runs in the group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2022 against Pakistan at the MCG to guide India to a near-impossible chase. This is currently the highest individual score in the  IND vs PAK T20Is. However, as both teams are now playing an ultra-aggressive brand of cricket in T20Is, it is not impossible that a player from either side does not break this in the Super Four game.

2. Highest Team Total

The highest team total recorded in an India-Pakistan T20I is 192/5. India registered this during a match in Ahmedabad in December 2012. With the attacking style of play becoming increasingly prevalent in modern T20 cricket, and given the potentially batting-friendly conditions often seen in Dubai, there's a strong chance that either India or Pakistan could surpass this score.

The recent Group A match in the Asia Cup 2025 saw India successfully chase down 128 runs in just 15.5 overs, which proved their batting power. If either team gets off to a flying start and maintains momentum, they could set a new benchmark for the highest team total.

3. Most Sixes in an Innings:

The record for the most sixes hit by a player in a single innings in IND vs PAK T20Is belongs to Yuvraj Singh, who hit seven sixes during the Ahmedabad T20I in 2012. However, with modern T20 cricket emphasising aggressive batting and power-hitting, especially in the early overs, there's a strong chance that a batsman from either side could go big and eclipse this record.
