The BCCI has selected the India squad for the forthcoming five-match T20I series against Australia, which will begin in Visakhapatnam on November 23, 2023.
Suryakumar Yadav will captain the team, with Ruturaj Gaikwad serving as vice-captain for the first three Twenty20 Internationals. Shreyas Iyer will serve as vice-captain for the fourth and fifth T20Is.
India starts the five-match series on the heels of a six-wicket loss to Australia in the ODI World Cup final.
After the ODI World Cup, the attention will shift to the forthcoming T20I series against Australia. The Indian lineup for the T20I series at home was chosen just a day after Australia gave India a devastating setback in the final in Ahmedabad.
Except for three World Cup players, the remainder of the team has been rested.
