Afghanistan will visit India for the first time in limited overs cricket in early January 2024 for a three-match T20I series.

The T20I series will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Bengaluru, in that sequence, from January 11 to January 17.

India and Afghanistan have never engaged in a series outside of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Indian Cricket Council (ICC) competitions. The one occasion the two sides faced each other outside of it was in 2018, when India hosted a single Test match against Afghanistan.

In the ten encounters between the teams in various formats, India has won eight, tied one, and one ended in a tie.
