ICC May Shift Champions Trophy 2025 from Pakistan, Rumors about Three New Possible Host

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Big news has come out regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in Pakistan next year. Due to the Indian team, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is having to work hard for this tournament. The ICC has prepared three special plans for the Champions Trophy.

Actually, Pakistan is the official host of Champions Trophy 2025. But BCCI has already made it clear that they will not send their Indian team on Pakistan tour. In such a situation, the headache of Pakistan as well as ICC has increased.

Pakistan invites India to play in their country. They said, there will be no security problem. India will play on one field. India, however, did not agree to that proposal. After that there was discussion regarding hybrid model. That is, India will play all their matches in other countries. But there is a problem in that case also. If India reaches the final then that final will be held in another country. In this situation a third option has emerged.

ICC is thinking of three countries. United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka and South Africa. UAE is foremost among them. The entire competition may have to be shifted there from Pakistan. ICC has prepared the competition budget keeping three things in mind. First option, make all the matches in Pakistan. Second, to organize the competition in hybrid model. Third, hold all the matches in another country. Even if the competition is held in another country, Pakistan will still get a share of the profit as the hosting country.

The Indian government has not yet given permission to BCCI to send the Indian team to Pakistan. In such a situation, ICC does not see any other option except working on the last two options.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is adamant on holding the tournament completely at home. The final decision on which can come in November as Jay Shah is going to take over as ICC Chairman from December 1.

The official schedule of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has not been revealed yet. While according to media reports, the Champions Trophy will start from February 19 and its final match can be played on March.
