Australia vs India 3rd Test Day 2: The second day of the Australia vs India Brisbane Test is over. Australia has scored 405 runs after losing seven wickets in their first innings. Currently Mitchell Starc is unbeaten on seven runs and Alex Carey is unbeaten on 45 runs. Travis Head scored 152 runs and Steve Smith scored 101 runs. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets for India.
Today on Sunday, Australia started playing at 28 runs without any wicket and scored 377 runs on the second day and lost seven wickets. Bumrah gave two shocks by dismissing Usman Khawaja (21) and Nathan McSweeney (9) in the first session. After this, Nitish Reddy sent Marnus Labuschagne (12) to the pavilion in the first session itself. However, after this Steve Smith and Travis Head did not let any wicket fall in the second session. Both of them shared a 242-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Travis Head faced 160 balls in the match and scored 152 runs with the help of 18 fours. He was caught out by Bumrah at the hands of Pant. Travis Head increased the tension of the Indian team by scoring 152 runs. The bowlers were seen struggling to get him out, but in the end it was Bumrah who caught him.
Steve Smith along with Travis Head troubled the Indian bowlers a lot. Smith scored the 33rd century of his Test career. This was his first century of this year. Earlier he was struggling with poor form in Tests, but he returned to form in Gabba. He and Head made a partnership of 242 runs. Steve Smith played an innings of 101 runs in the match, in which 12 fours came from his bat.
On the first day of the match on Saturday (14 December), Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss. He decided to bowl first. Two changes were made in Team India. Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and fast bowler Harshit Rana were dropped. In place of both, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Akash Deep were given a chance.

After this, the second match was played with a pink ball in Adelaide. Australia made a comeback and won the match by 10 wickets. It has leveled the series at 1-1.
