​​​​​​Australia vs India 3rd Test Day 4: The fourth day's play is over. India has scored 252 runs after losing nine wickets in its first innings. Thanks to the brave batting of Jaspreet Bumrah and Akash Deep, India has saved the follow-on. Both are unbeaten. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul also batted brilliantly and scored half-centuries. Akash is unbeaten on 27 and Bumrah on 10. So far, the partnership between the two has been 39 runs in 54 balls for the 10th wicket. Australia had scored 445 runs in its first innings. In this regard, Team India is still 193 runs behind. India had to score 246 runs to save the follow-on.

India started playing today at 51 runs for four wickets. However, soon the team suffered a fifth blow in the form of Rohit Sharma. Rohit became the victim of Cummins after scoring 10 runs. After this, Rahul shared a 67-run partnership with Jadeja. Rahul missed the century and was out after scoring 84 runs with the help of eight fours in 139 balls.

After this, Nitish Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja shared a 53-run partnership for the seventh wicket. Nitish got bowled by Cummins after scoring 16 runs. Siraj could only score one run. Jadeja, who was at the other end, scored the 22nd half-century of his Test career. He got out as the ninth wicket. He was caught by Marsh off Cummins. Jadeja scored 77 runs in 123 balls with the help of seven fours and one six.

 

After this, Bumrah and Akash showed courage and saved India from playing follow-on. Both will try to reduce Australia's lead further. Captain Cummins has taken four wickets so far from Australia. At the same time, Mitchell Starc got three wickets. Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon got one wicket each. Earlier on Monday, Yashasvi was out after scoring four runs, Gill one run, Virat three runs and Pant nine runs.
