They needed to reach their target in the 12th over to sufficiently boost their net run rate, but when that became impossible Callum Ferguson and Chris Green knuckled down and got on with the task of winning the match in a more normal fashion. The Hurricanes spinners did a good job of squeezing the middle overs, however dropped catches didn't help their cause. They remain top of the table and will hope they have got the poor performance out of their system before the important semi-final in Hobart. We'll be back tomorrow for the conclusion of the group stage as Melbourne Stars host Sydney Sixers in a vital clash at the MCG.
