Virat Kohli in Delhi's Squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy: Indian team's star batsman and former captain Virat Kohli will play for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The DDCA has announced the team for the for the tournament, and Virat Kohli has been included. The team will be captained by Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Besides Kohli and Pant, the high-profile Delhi team also includes other international cricketers such as Ishant Sharma, Navdeep Saini, and Harshit Rana.
Delhi is scheduled to play seven matches in Group D from December 24 to January 8. It is not yet confirmed whether Pant and Kohli will be available for all the matches. The Indian team is scheduled to play an ODI series against New Zealand starting on January 11.
DDCA has announced its squad for the first two matches of the tournament. Ayush Badoni has been named vice-captain. Young players have been given a chance in the first two matches, replacing some of the experienced players. The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-2026 is scheduled to begin on December 24th. Delhi's first match is against Andhra Pradesh on December 24th, and their second match is against Gujarat on December 26th.

Virat Kohli to Return After 15 Year in this Tournament
Kohli last played a Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2010, during the early stages of his career. His last match in the tournament was against Services. Virat Kohli has retired from Test and T20 formats in international cricket and now only plays in the ODI format. Kohli was in red-hot form during the recent three-match ODI series against South Africa at home, smashing two tons and a half-century in a 2-1 win for the host.
Virat Kohli’s next international assignment will be a three-match ODI series against New Zealand starting on January 11.

Looking at Delhi's schedule in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025, they will face Andhra Pradesh on December 24th, Gujarat on December 26th, and Saurashtra on December 29th. Following this, Delhi will take on Odisha on December 31st. On January 3rd, Delhi will play against Services, while their match against Railways is scheduled for January 6th. Their final match will be against Haryana on January 8th.
