Team India Entered in the Semi-Final of ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025
Indian women's team has defeated Bangladesh team in the Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025. For India, Gongadi Trisha played an excellent inning and led Team India to victory.

ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup: The Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025 has reached its final stage. The Indian team has performed brilliantly and defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets in its first match of the Super Six. By winning the match, the Indian women's team has confirmed its place in the semi-finals and has taken a step towards winning the title. The bowlers and batsmen of the Indian team showed excellent performance in the match against Bangladesh.
Indian women's team captain Nikki Prasad won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be correct. Bangladesh's team could score only 64 runs in 20 overs. Only Jannatul Moua (14 runs) and Sumayya Akhtar (21 runs) could reach double figures for the team. Apart from these two, the rest of the batsmen were desperate to stay on the crease. Vaishnavi Sharma was the most successful bowler for India and she took 3 wickets for 15 runs in four overs.
Indian women's team did not have a good start while chasing the small target. G Kamalini was out after scoring just 3 runs. After this, Gongadi Trisha batted strongly and scored 40 runs alone to give the team victory. Sanika Chalke contributed 11 runs. India easily chased the target in 7.1 overs.

India had also defeated Sri Lanka and West Indies in the group stage. Now both these teams have also reached the Super Six. Because of this, these two victories of Team India have also been included. The Indian team has won its first match in the Super Six against Bangladesh. Its second match will be against Scotland women's team on January 28. Overall, India has 6 points in three matches in Group-1 of Super Six and the run rate is plus 6.009. It has entered the semi-finals.
India will look to make it five wins from five in their second Super Six match against Scotland on Tuesday.
India have joined Australia and South Africa in securing their spots in the semi-finals of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup with a game to spare.
England are currently best placed to secure the fourth and final semi-final spot, and would do so if they win against New Zealand on Monday. Nigeria, the USA and New Zealand are all still in contention.
