TATA Women’s Premier League 2026: The fourth season of the Women's Premier League is set to begin on January 9th. Five teams will once again compete for the title. Mumbai Indians will be hoping to win their third title and defend their crown, but they will face tough competition from the other four teams.

Some Fresh Changes in the League

UP Warriors team will be entering the tournament with a completely new squad this time. They have appointed the legendary Meg Lanning, who captained Delhi Capitals for three seasons, as their captain. Delhi Capitals will be led by Indian star Jemimah Rodrigues. Gujarat Giants are being captained by Australia's Ashleigh Gardner. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be led by Smriti Mandhana. Harmanpreet Kaur, who led Mumbai Indians to two championships, will continue to captain the team. For the first time, tournament matches will be played in Vadodara.

The WPL 2026 tournament will be played between 5 teams over 28 days, with a total of 22 matches. The Eliminator will be held in Vadodara on February 3rd, and the final on February 5th. Matches will be played at two venues.

This year's matches will be played in two major cities: DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai (first 11 matches) BCA Stadium, Vadodara (remaining matches and the final). The Women's Premier League 2026 matches will be played in two time slots. Afternoon matches will start at 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time, while evening matches will be played from 7:30 PM onwards.
