India’s Squad for ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025

Indian Women’s Selection Committee announced India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. The tournament is set to be played in Malaysia from January 18, 2025 to February 02, 2025.

ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, Team India: BCCI on Tuesday announced the team for the Women's Under-19 World Cup to be held next month. Nikki Prasad has been made the captain of the team while Sanika Chalka has been given the responsibility of vice-captain. India recently won the ACC Asian Cup. After Asia, this team is ready to conquer the world.

India is the defending champion of the tournament. Last year, the Indian team led by Shefali Verma had captured the title. This was the first season of the tournament, by winning which India created history. India defeated England by 7 wickets in the final. England had given the target of only 69 runs.

A total of 16 teams will participate in this competition which have been divided into four groups. India are the defending champions and have been placed in Group A along with hosts Malaysia, West Indies and Sri Lanka.

Team India will start its tournament on January 19 against West Indies. After that he will play matches against Malaysia (January 21) and Sri Lanka (January 23).

The group stage matches of the ICC Women's U19 World Cup 2025 will be played between 19 and 23 January. The top three teams from each group will make it to the Super Six to be held between 25 and 29 January. The Super Six will have two groups of six teams each.

In the Super Six stage every team will carry forward their wins, points and Net Run-rate (NRR) which is secured against their fellow Super Six qualifying teams. Each team will play two games in the Super Six stage, against opponents of corresponding groups which finished at the different positions.

The top two teams from each group in the Super Six will make it to the semi-finals which will be played on 31 January. The final will be held on February 2.
