Indian Women's Team Squad for ODI Series Against Australia
The Women's Selection Committee has announced the Indian Women's team for the Australia tour. Opener Shefali Verma has been dropped from the team due to poor form in the three-match ODI series. This tour of the Indian women's team will start from December 5.
Indian Women's Tour of Australia for ODI Series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian women's cricket team for the three-match ODI series against Australia. The BCCI's Senior Selection Committee announced the team on Tuesday. The Indian women's cricket team will play a three-match ODI series on the Australia tour from December 5.
Opener Shefali Verma has not been included in the Indian team for this series. It is believed that Shefali has been shown the way out due to poor form. However, Harleen Deol has returned to the ODI squad. The command of the team will be in the hands of Harmanpreet Kaur.
The selectors have also dropped Shreyanka Patil, Uma Chetry and Dayalan Hemalatha, who were all part of the squad that recently took on New Zealand in the home series.
On the Australia tour, the Indian women's team has to play the first two ODI matches at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane. After this, the third and final match will be played at the WACA Ground in Perth. This series between India and Australia is a part of the ICC Women's Championship.
Wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh have also entered the team for the ODI series. Apart from this, Harleen Deol has got a place in the national team after almost a year. She played her last match in the three-match home ODI series against Australia in December 2023. After this, she was not included in the team for the home series against South Africa and New Zealand this season.
