Australia Women Won the 1st ODI Match Against India: India lost to Australia by five wickets in the first women's ODI of the three-match series in Brisbane. India suffered a batting collapse after opting to take first strike as they were all out for a mere 100 in the 35th over.

In this first ODI match played against Australia in Brisbane, Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first. Her decision did not go down well with the team. Australia achieved the target of 101 by losing 5 wickets in 16.2 hours. Phoebe Litchfield scored 35, Georgia Voll scored 46 not out, Alyssa Perry scored 1, Beth Mooney scored 1, Annabel Sutherland scored 6 and Ashley Gardner scored 8 runs. Tahlia McGrath remained unbeaten after scoring 4 runs. Renuka Thakur took 3 wickets and Priya Mishra took 2 wickets for India.
