WPL 2026 Retentions: Ahead of the Women's Premier League 2026, all franchises have released their retained player lists. Two-time champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have retained five players each. RCB has retained four. Gujarat Giants have retained two, while UP Warriors have retained just one. A team could retain a maximum of five players, with a maximum of three Indians and two foreign players. If a franchise retained five players, one uncapped player was required.
Mumbai Indians have retained England captain and all-rounder Nat Seiver Brunt for ₹3.5 crore (US$1.5 million). She is the leading run-scorer in the league's history. She also ranks among the top five wicket-takers. Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained their captain Smriti Mandhana for the same amount. Gujarat Titans have paid ₹3.5 crore (US$1.5 million) for explosive Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner.
