R Ashwin 100th Test: Ashwin will become the 14th Indian player to play 100 test matches
At India vs England 5th Test Match in Dharamsala, Indian Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is to play his 100th Test Match for India and has become the oldest player of India to achieve this feat.
Ravi Ashwin to play 100 Test matches for India: Ashwin joined the prestigious list of players who have played 100 Test matches or more for India. The list includes Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Anil Kumble, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma, Harbhajan Singh and Cheteshwar Pujara.
Ravichandran Ashwin has become the oldest player of India to achieve this feat. He is playing his 100th Test at the age of 37 years and 172 days.
R Ashwin 100th Test: Ashwin will become the 14th Indian player to play 100 test matches and he will be the 77th player in the world to achieve this milestone.
Ravichandran Ashwin gets a special Test cap as a special memento and also received guard of honour on his 100th Test match in Dharamsala.
Ashwin will be only the fifth bowler in India's 92-year Test history to play 100 or more Tests. Before Ashwin, Anil Kumble, Kapil Dev, Ishant Sharma and Harbhajan Singh have achieved this feat.
