IND vs NZ: Mitchell Santner To Lead As New Zealand Declare 15-Member Squad For T20I Series Against India; Ben Lister Gets Maiden Call-Up
New Zealand Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against India for 3 ODIs & 3 T20Is commencing from 18th January.
New Zealand Cricket Team is good to go to clash against India for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is starting from 18th January. Kane Williamson will lead the team in the ODIs though shockingly Mitchell Santner has been named the T20I captain and Williamson has quit the visit to deal with his responsibility. This New Zealand Series is supposed to be an entrancing one as the two groups are uniformly coordinated.
The Black Caps would be keen to make a mark as every time they are outplayed by the mighty Men in Blue. There are chances that India may rotate some players as the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka is scheduled for 15th January.
This T20I Series is set to begin from 27th January. The senior members like Martin Guptill & Trent Boult are not a part of the Series where both have been released from the contract & Tim Southee has been rested. All eyes would be on Glenn Phillips as the batter has got some sheer fire power. The Men in Blue recently had defeated New Zealand in the T20I Series by 1-0 where they displayed attacking brand of cricket.
It would be fascinating to see whether Hardik Pandya keeps on captaining the side in the wake of winning the T20I series against the Sri Lankan Cricket Crew. The choice to make Mitchell Santner as the captain is very shocking as the spinner has no adequate involvement with captaining the side. The Kiwis would be peering toward retribution as they were outflanked by India in the as of late closed T20I Series.
New Zealand T20 Squad: Mitchell Santner (C), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Dane Cleaver, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Ben Lister, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Michael Rippon, Henry Shipley, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner.
