India and Australia will face off in the 2023 World Test Championship final, which will start on June 7, after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has concluded. However, since the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) is slated to take place from March 31 to May 28, fans will have to wait to witness the eagerly anticipated summit battle.

After a thrilling match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, India secured their place in the WTC final. Sri Lanka (SL) was another contender for a spot in the WTC final, but their dreams were dashed after Kane Williamson's outstanding century helped the Black Caps to a fantastic victory. To advance to the WTC final, Sri Lanka required to defeat New Zealand in both of their Test matches, but due to their defeat, India advanced and will take on Australia.

Beginning on June 7, the final will be held at The Oval in London. Players who must travel swiftly after the IPL to join the team's camp in England have very little time due to the hectic schedule. Brad Hogg, a former Australian spinner, recently expressed his displeasure at having to wait more than three months for fans to witness the WTC final.

Additionally, he predicted that after viewing the IPL, fans would be exhausted and that the excitement for the WTC final would have subsided by that point. On his YouTube account, Brad Hogg discussed the IPL and WPL schedules in a video. While questioning the scheduling, he also questioned why the fans would be excited for the game after watching over 70 matches of the IPL.

What is the ICC up to? The main games have all concluded, and now we have got to wait for 3 months for the WTC Final. The supporters out there do not like that. Brad Hogg pleaded with the ICC to "wake up" on his YouTube account. "By then, all the energy and enthusiasm would have faded. Everyone will have had enough cricket by the time the WTC Final arrives after the IPL, and they will likely not be engaged in the final," he continued.
