India’s Squad for Test Series Against South Africa Announced

India Squad for Test Series Against South Africa: The Indian team has been announced for the two-Test series against South Africa. Rishabh Pant and Akashdeep Singh have returned to the team, while fast bowler Mohammed Shami has once again been omitted. The rest of the squad is the same as the one selected for the Test series against the West Indies. South Africa will play an all-format series on their tour of India. This tour will begin with the Test series. The first Test between India and South Africa will be played in Kolkata from November 14th, and the second Test in Guwahati from November 22nd.

Rishabh Pant and Akashdeep Singh are returning to Team India after the England tour. Both players suffered injuries during the five-Test series against England. Due to this, Pant and Akashdeep were unable to play in the home Test series against the West Indies, but now they have the opportunity to return to action against South Africa.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was sidelined from the Indian team during the England Test series due to injury. He also missed the home Test series against the West Indies due to this injury. Pant has now fully recovered and has regained both his fitness and form. Pant was assigned to lead the Indian team in two four-day matches against South Africa A. The purpose of these matches was to test his form and fitness, and he succeeded. Pant played a key role in the team's victory by scoring 90 runs in the second innings of the first Test.

Akash Deep was recovering from a back injury that prevented him from playing in the Duleep Trophy after returning from England. He has since played the first two rounds of the Ranji Trophy for Bengal.

Pant, who is returning to the Test series against South Africa, is also captaining India A. Before the Test series, two four-day Test matches are being played between India A and South Africa A. Rishabh Pant's powerful half-century in the first match helped India A defeat South Africa A and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Shami, Sarfaraz and Karun Nair Not Included in the Squad

Shami, the powerful fast bowler who declared himself fit for the Indian Test team, has not returned. Statements by Shami and Ajit Agarkar have been widely discussed, in which Shami said he was fit but no one was asking him whether he was fit or not. Whereas selector Ajit Agarkar had said that if Shami was fit, why was he unable to bowl as well as he used to. Furthermore, Sarfaraz Khan, who has lost 17 to 18 kilograms, and Karun Nair, who recently scored a century and then a double century in the domestic Ranji Trophy, are also out. The management has maintained confidence in Sai Sudarshan at number three.
