India vs England 1st ODI Match: The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and England was played in Nagpur. The Indian team won it with a bang. India achieved the target of 249 runs in less than 40 overs. By winning this match by 4 wickets, India has taken a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.

With this series, which is considered important in terms of preparation for the Champions Trophy, Team India made a comeback to ODI cricket after a long time. Earlier, the Indian team played 3 ODIs on the Sri Lanka tour in July-August, which was India's first and only ODI series after the World Cup 2023 final. Harshit Rana's debut was strong, now all eyes were on Yashasvi Jaiswal. Virat Kohli was out of this match due to injury, due to which Jaiswal (15) got a chance to make his ODI debut. However, he looked troubled in front of the excellent bowling of Jofra Archer and Saqib Mahmood and finally became Archer's victim. On the other hand, captain Rohit (2) disappointed again.
