The ICC has announced the Team of the Tournament for the Women's World Cup 2025. Three players have been selected from the winning team, India.

ICC Women's World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament: Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, India won the 13th ICC Women's ODI World Cup for the first time, defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final. Shortly after, the ICC announced the Team of the Tournament for the 2025 World Cup. Three Indian players were included in this team.

While runner-up South Africa also had three players in the top 11. Nat Sciver Brunt of the England women's cricket team was selected as the 12th player.

Interestingly despite leading India to the Women's ODI World Cup, World Cup runners-up South Africa's captain Laura Wolvaardt has been named captain of the ICC Women's Team of the Year, replacing Harmanpreet Kaur.

Women’s World Cup Team of the Tournament

1. Smriti Mandhana (India)

Star opener of the Indian women's cricket team, Smriti Mandhana, was the second-highest run-scorer in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 (ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Team of the Tournament). She scored 109 runs against New Zealand in Navi Mumbai. She amassed 434 runs in the tournament, averaging 54. She scored one century and two half-centuries in the tournament.

2. Laura Wolvaardt (c) (South Africa)

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt scored 571 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. She scored two centuries and three half-centuries, averaging 71. Laura Wolvaardt managed to score centuries in both knockout contests and her brilliant 101 against India in the final was perhaps outshone by her match-winning innings of 169 against England in the semis.

3. Jemimah Rodrigues (India)

Jemimah Rodrigues of the Indian women's cricket team scored a total of 292 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. During this period, she scored a century and a fifty. She played an unbeaten inning of 127 runs in the semi-final match against Australia, helping the team reach the final. Prior to that, she had scored an unbeaten 76 against New Zealand to help India reach the semi-finals.

4. Marizanne Kapp (South Africa)

South African women's cricketer Marizanne Kapp scored a total of 208 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup, including two half-centuries. She also took 12 wickets in the bowling department. This was her fifth ODI World Cup as a player, and she made significant contributions to the team. She scored 42 runs in the final against India.

5. Ash Gardner (Australia)

Ash Gardner delivered one of her finest tournaments with both bat and ball. She was among the few players to score multiple centuries and played a key role in Australia’s unbeaten run through the group stage. Gardner scored two centuries and a fifty in the 2025 ICC Women's ODI World Cup. She scored a total of 328 runs in the tournament. She also took seven wickets.

6. Deepti Sharma (India)

Named Player of the Tournament, Deepti Sharma was instrumental in India’s title-winning campaign. She finished as the leading wicket-taker and scored crucial runs across the tournament. Deepti Sharma scored 215 runs in the tournament, including a century and three fifties. She also took 22 wickets.

7. Annabel Sutherland (Australia)

Annabel Sutherland was among Australia’s most reliable performers, finishing as the team’s leading wicket-taker and second overall in the tournament. Sutherland scored 117 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. She also scored a half-century and took 17 wickets with the ball.

8. Nadine de Klerk (South Africa)

South African women's cricketer Nadine de Klerk scored a total of 208 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025, including one half-century. She also took nine wickets.

9. Sidra Nawaz (wk) (Pakistan)

Pakistan's Sidra Nawaz made a total of 8 dismissals (4 catches, 4 stumpings) in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. She scored a total of 62 runs with an average of 20.66.

10. Alana King (Australia)

Australian women's cricket team leg-spinner Elana King faced a tough time at the ICC Women's ODI World Cup, but her bowling spell (7/18) against South Africa was outstanding. This remains the best record in Women's World Cup history and the highest by an Australian in ODIs. She took total 13 wickets and also scored a half-century in this tournament. 

11. Sophie Ecclestone (England)

Sophie Ecclestone reaffirmed her status as the top-ranked bowler in Women’s ODIs with another strong tournament. She claimed 16 wickets from seven matches, including a superb 4/44 in the semi-final against South Africa.

12th Player - Nat Sciver-Brunt (England)

Nat Sciver-Brunt once again showed why she is one of the best all-rounders in the world. Leading from the front, she guided England through the group stage with just one defeat. She scored 262 runs and took 9 wickets in the tournament.
