Moeen Ali Retired from International Cricket: England's legendary all-rounder Moeen Ali has announced his retirement from international cricket on Sunday. This player, who won two World Cups for England, has said goodbye to his 10-year career. Moeen Ali took this decision after not being selected in the limited overs series played against Australia.

"I'm 37 years old and didn't get picked for this month's Australia series," Moeen Ali said in an interview with former England captain Nasser Hussain in the Daily Mail.

"I've played a lot of cricket for England. It's time for the next generation, which was also explained to me. It felt the time was right. I've done my part." He also said.

Moeen had said goodbye to Test cricket at the end of 2021. But in the year 2023, on the request of Test team captain Ben Stokes, he changed his decision before the Ashes series. After the Ashes, Moeen again announced his retirement from Test cricket. Although, then Moeen Ali had said goodbye to Test itself, but now he has bid farewell to all three formats.

37-year-old Moeen Ali played 68 Tests, 138 ODIs and 92 T20 matches for England. Moeen has been a part of the English team that won the ODI World Cup in 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2022.

However, Moeen will continue to play franchise cricket and hopes to get involved in coaching in the future. Moeen made his international debut in February 2014. That means his international career lasted for 10 years.
