Munaf will join head coach Hemang Badani and director of cricket Venugopal Rao in Delhi's new-look backroom staff for IPL 2025. His upcoming stint with Delhi Capitals will be his first high-profile job since retiring in 2018. After retiring from international cricket, he has been playing in leagues that involve retired cricketers.
Munaf Patel has played 86 international matches for India in all formats between 2006 and 2011. Munaf Patel has been a part of three different franchises in the IPL. Munaf Patel was involved with Rajasthan Royals (2008-2010), Mumbai Indians (2011-2017) and Gujarat Lions (2017). With Mumbai Indians, he won the title in 2013. In the 2013 season, he took three wickets in four matches.
