All the records registered and broken by Team India and their players after Asia Cup 2025 Final win against Pakistan

India’s latest Asia Cup victory brought them another trophy and added several milestones to the record books. The triumph over Pakistan in Dubai on September 28, 2025, gave them a record ninth Asia Cup title and cemented their dominance in the competition. The team also secured their 50th Asia Cup match win, becoming the first side to reach that landmark across both formats.

In T20Is, India set a striking record by winning their ninth straight chase against Pakistan, a feat unmatched in cricket. No other side has managed a perfect record like this against a single opponent in T20 internationals. Kuldeep Yadav claimed 17 wickets, the most in a single T20I Asia Cup, beating Al-Amin Hossain’s previous mark.

He overtook Lasith Malinga to become the leading wicket-taker in Asia Cup history, with 36 wickets in 18 matches. For India, he also broke Irfan Pathan’s mark for most wickets in one edition. Abhishek Sharma scored 314 runs at a strike rate of 200 and won Player of the Tournament. Tilak Varma earned Player of the Match in the final for his unbeaten 69 under pressure.

India’s sensational win over Pakistan in the final

The final lived up to the rivalry, with twists that kept the crowd on edge. Pakistan made a strong start after being asked to bat, as Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 and Fakhar Zaman added 46 in an opening stand of 84. At 113 for one in the 13th over, they looked ready for a formidable total. Yet Kuldeep Yadav struck decisively, finishing with four for 30 and triggering a collapse as Pakistan lost nine wickets for just 33 runs. The innings ended at 146 in 19.1 overs, leaving India with a manageable target but plenty of nerves.

India’s reply started poorly, with early wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill. The chase wobbled, but Tilak Varma steadied it with 69 not out from 53 balls. He stitched partnerships with Sanju Samson, who made 24, and Shivam Dube, who hit 33, to keep the scoreboard moving. In the final over, Rinku Singh marked his tournament debut by hitting the winning runs off Haris Rauf with two balls to spare. India lifted their ninth Asia Cup crown, though their refusal to take the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi turned celebration into controversy.
