Key Stats
19.6 Ben Laughlin to Mandeep Singh
Ben Laughlin to Mandeep Singh. Slower ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Buttler. Another lovely slower ball prevents Singh from getting to 50 as he swings and misses at the final ball. It wraps up a 19 run victory for the Royals, what a game of cricket we have seen here tonight. It had a bit of everything for the neutral fans and was a brilliant example of what the IPL has to offer. Rajasthan will be happy with the victory and it was thoroughly deserved after an oustanding 92 from Samson in the first innings. Kohli did his best to pull the RCB up to their target but a lack of support at the top left them unstuck, despite Singh and Sundar giving a very nice helping hand in leaving RCB just 19 short of their opponents.
