SIX! Kane Richardson to Ashton Turner. Half volley, outside off stump backing away driving, well timed in the air under control over deep backward point for 6 runs. Sliced all the way for six, Turner is cool as a cucumber in amongst all the carnage to take the Scorchers to victory by three wickets. Yet another Big Bash match comes alive at the death when seemingly coasting along, this league is truly magnificent entertainment. You could've forgiven the Renegades for giving up hope when the Scorchers were cruising towards victory in that chase. David Willey and Michael Klinger got things off to a blistering start and from there it seemed the result was inevitable. A fired up Brad Hogg refused to accept defeat without a fight though, and his two wickets sparked a remarkable finale. A frenzied spell of cricket will have had the visitors starting to get nervous, but in the end they saw it home through a calm and calculated Ashton Turner. Once again the side from Perth have their bowlers to thank for an outstanding display, three wickets apiece for Mitch Johnson and Andrew Tye keeping the hosts to a total that proved just below par. The BBL madness continues tomorrow from Tasmania, where the Hurricanes take on the Thunder.
