OUT! Bowled. Andrew Tye to Adam Zampa. Slower ball half volley, middle stump backing away driving, missed. Cleaned him up, what a way to finish. Tye is an absolute T20 demon and now has a five wicket haul to go with his hat-trick from the previous match. The Scorchers seal victory by 13 runs and the WACA goes into a festive-frenzy in celebration. What a Christmas cracker that was, and the Perth crowd got the belated present they will have wanted. A flurry of early boundaries had them nervous but four wickets by the end of the powerplay settled things down. Rob Quiney (25) and James Faulkner (35) battled hard for the Stars but they fizzled out as it always seemed like they had too much to do. Andrew Tye will take the plaudits for his 23-5 but the whole Scorchers bowling attack was magnificent, the reason they are the BBL masters. Hilton Cartwright is the reason they had something to defend in the first place, his counter-attacking maiden BBL fifty leading the Scorchers to 142 after an early wobble.
