Key Stats
19.6 Michael Neser to Steve O'Keefe
OUT! Bowled. Michael Neser to Steve O'Keefe. Slower ball yorker, middle stump backing away driving, missed. Bowled him, Neser has nerves of steel to perfectly execute with all the pressure on his shoulders. Phew, take a breath - once again the Big Bash has delivered an amazing evening of entertainment. Adelaide Strikers sealed a narrow victory at the SCG as a thrilling runchase went right down to the final ball. Jordan Silk (50) battled hard after early wickets set the hosts back, but once Rashid Khan dismissed him the Sydney Sixers seemed to be out of contention. Steve O'Keefe and Ben Dwarshuis had other ideas in their swashbuckling partnership, hitting four maximums between them to set up a nerve-racking finale. O'Keefe needed six from the final ball to take us to a super over, but Michael Neser kept his cool to seal victory for the visitors by just six runs. Alex Carey was their star with the blade, calmly smashing his way to an unbeaten 83 to continue the Strikers perfect start to the season. The Big Bash mayhem is back tomorrow so be sure to tune in then.
