There was no discussion on the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule at the ICC meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Now after this the Pakistan Board has taken a decision to gave all responsibility to ICC.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Champions Trophy 2025 is to be organized on Pakistani soil. 8 teams will participate in it. Pakistan Cricket Board has already sent the draft schedule to ICC. There was no discussion on the Champions Trophy program even in the ICC meeting held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. But the budget of this tournament was approved in the meeting.

But it has not been confirmed yet whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy or not. Now PCB has left the task of convincing BCCI to send its team to Pakistan to the International Cricket Council.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has kept all the India matches in Lahore as per the proposed schedule. If the Rohit's  team reach the semi-finals, that match will also be held in Lahore. The final will also be there. It is heard that PCB may build a luxury hotel next to the ground. Rohit will be kept there. In that case they do not have to travel far. This decision is for Rohit's safety in Pakistan. But will the Champions Trophy in that country? Or will Team India travel to Pakistan?

Three years ago, the PCB expressed its desire to host the 2025 Champions Trophy. At that time the chairman of the board was Ehsan Mani. Towards the end of 2022, the ICC informed the then PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja that Pakistan could host the tournament. At that time everything was fine. Now PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. But the secretary of the Indian Cricket Board, Jai Shah, did not have any official meeting with him. However, Naqvi and Joy were discussed in the ICC meeting.

A PCB source said that the PCB has now done what was expected of it as the host of the Champions Trophy. It has submitted the draft program of the tournament and has also submitted the budget for the tournament. Now it is up to the ICC how quickly they telecast, discuss and finalize the Champions Trophy schedule.

He said that the PCB, on its part, has informed the ICC in writing about the tax related rules, venue selection and approval from its government to host the Indian team in Pakistan for this big tournament. The source revealed that PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi did not hold any formal meetings with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah or any other BCCI official on the sidelines of the ICC meetings but the talks between Naqvi and Shah during the meetings were cordial.
