PAK vs ENG 1st Test Day 2: The second day of the first test match between Pakistan and England has ended. Pakistan was all out for 556 runs in the first innings, in response to which England scored 96 runs for the loss of one wicket till stumps. At the end of the day's play, Jack Crawley was present at the crease with 64 runs and Joe Root with 32 runs.

England suffered an early blow in the form of captain Ollie Pope who was dismissed without opening his account. Naseem Shah gave England an early blow by dismissing Pope, but Crawley and Root have so far made a partnership of 92 runs for the second wicket and recovered the team from the setback.

Pakistan: Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (c), Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Abrar Ahmad.

England: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope (c), Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jamie Smith (wk), Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse, Jack Leach, Shoaib Bashir.

Earlier, on the first day, Abdullah Shafique and captain Shan Masood scored centuries for Pakistan. On the second day, Tuesday, Agha Salman scored a century. Salman returned unbeaten after scoring 104 runs. Apart from Salman, Saud Shakeel was also batting well, but he was out after scoring 82 runs. For England, spinner Jack Leach took the maximum of three wickets.

Pakistan team suffered its first and overall fifth blow on the second day in the form of Naseem Shah. He played an innings of 33 runs in 81 balls. Naseem hit one four and three sixes in his innings. He shared a 64-run partnership with Shakeel for the fifth wicket. After Naseem's dismissal, Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Brydon Carse dismissed Naseem, while Jack Leach dismissed Rizwan.

After this, Saud Shakeel also got out after batting well. He missed the century. Shakeel played an innings of 82 runs with the help of eight fours in 177 balls. After this, Aamir Jamal became the victim of Bryden Cars after scoring seven runs.

Then after Salman along with Shaheen Afridi took over the innings of Pakistan, but Leach broke this partnership by bowling Shaheen. This was Leach's third wicket of this match. Shaheen returned to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs. Shortly after this, Joe Root dismissed Abrar Ahmed and got Pakistan all out.

For England, apart from Leach, Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse took two wickets each, while Chris Woakes, Shoaib Bashir and Root got one wicket each.
