Pakistan Squads for South Africa Tour: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Pakistan team for the South Africa tour. Pakistan has to play a three-match T20 series, a three-match ODI series and a two-match Test series in South Africa from December 10. The Pakistan team has been announced for all these series.

“We have adopted a horses for courses policy to ensure all three squads are well-balanced and capable of performing strongly in South Africa," selector and interim white-ball head coach Aqib Javed said via a statement.

Shan Masood will captain Pakistan during the Test series with Mohammad Rizwan named skipper for the white-ball contests. Star batter Babar Azam is among a host of key players named in all three squads.

Apart from Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha have also been selected in the team for all three formats. Fast bowler Naseem Shah has been included in the Test and ODI team.

Shaheen Shah Afridi Dropped from Test Team

Star bowler Shaheen Afridi's name is also not in the Pakistani Test team. He was also dropped from the last two matches of the home Test series against England and now he has not been selected for the Test series to be held in South Africa. However, he has definitely been made a part of the white ball team.

Apart from this, spinner Sajid Khan, who took 19 wickets in two Tests against England, has also not been selected in the Test squad. For the Test matches to be held in the South Africa tour, the Pakistani selectors have included only one spinner, who is Noman Ali. He has 67 wickets in 17 Tests.
