Pakistan Squads for Test Series Against England: Pakistan has announced the team for the second and third matches of the Test series to be played against England. New players have got a place in the team captained by Shan Masood. The Pakistan Cricket Board has given a big blow to Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Sarfaraz Ahmed. PCB has expelled these four players from the team.

PCB has reacted on its official website regarding Babar and Shaheen. The board wrote, the selectors have decided to rest Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi. Abrar Ahmed has not yet recovered from his injury. Hence, he was not available for selection.

The official release by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated: "Taking into consideration the current form and fitness of key players and looking ahead to Pakistan’s future assignments in the 2024-25 international cricket season, the selectors have decided to give rest to Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Abrar Ahmed (who is recovering from dengue fever) was unavailable for selection."

PCB has given chance to four new players in place of Babar, Shaheen, Naseem and Sarfaraz. The board said, Hasibullah, Mehran Mumtaz, Kamran Ghulam and fast bowler Mohammad Ali have been given chance. Along with them, off-spinner Sajit Khan has also got a place in the team. Noman Ali and Zahid Mahmood were part of the main team for the first Test. But both of them have been released.

Poor Performance of Former Pakistan Captain Babar Azam
Babar Azam had a very poor performance in the first Test. He was out after scoring just 30 runs in the first innings. Pakistan scored 566 runs in this innings. Shafiq and Shan Masood scored centuries for the team. Agha Salman also scored a century. After this, Babar flopped in the second Test as well. He was out after scoring 5 runs. Shaheen Afridi was able to take only 1 wicket in the first Test.

Pakistan squad for 2nd and 3rd Tests: Shan Masood (captain), Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Haseebullah (wicket-keeper), Kamran Ghulam, Mehran Mumtaz, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Noman Ali, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha and Zahid Mehmood.

Pakistan vs England 2nd Test will start from 15 October and and 3rd test will be from 24 October.
