India Squad for Men's Emerging Asia Cup 2024: BCCI has announced the 15-member Indian team for the Emerging Asia Cup 2024. Tilak Verma has been given the responsibility of captain for this tournament. Apart from him, the board has also given a chance to many young players in the Indian team for this tournament. At the same time, this will be the first time when there will be many such players in this tournament, who will represent the Indian team for the first time.

Tilak has played 4 ODIs and 16 T20 matches for India and apart from this, capped T20 players like all-rounder Abhishek Sharma, left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore have also been given a place in the team. Along with this, players like all-rounders Ayush Badoni, Ramandeep Singh and Hrithik Shaukeen, wicketkeeper-batsman Anuj Rawat, batsmen Prabhsimran Singh and Nehal Wadhera, fast bowlers Vaibhav Arora and Rasikh Salam, who showed their talent in IPL, have been included.

Young players who have performed well in domestic cricket, such as all-rounder Nishant Sindhu, a member of India's 2022 U19 World Cup-winning team, as well as fast bowler Anshul Kamboj and fast bowler Aaqib Khan, have also been given a chance.

The Emerging Asia Cup 2024 is scheduled to start from October 18, while the last match will be played on October 27. Along with India, 8 teams will participate in this tournament, which will also include teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman. This cup is to be organized in Oman.

India is a part of Group B of the tournament along with Oman, Pakistan and UAE, while Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have been included in Group A.

This is the sixth edition of the tournament, with Pakistan as the defending champions. They beat arch-rivals India in the final last year. India won the tournament once in 2013.
