India-A Beat Pakistan-A, Emerging Asia Cup T20 2024: In the Emerging Asia Cup 2024, India A defeated Pakistan A by 7 runs and made a great start to the tournament. This was the first match of both the teams in this tournament being played in Oman and Team India made a strong start by defeating the defending champion Pakistan A in a thrilling match.

The star of Team India's victory was young fast bowler Anshul Kamboj, who took 3 wickets and ensured the team's victory by defending 17 runs in the last over. Apart from him, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh contributed significantly to the team's victory with their batting, while Ramandeep Singh contributed with his fielding.

In their first match of this tournament being held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, Team India batted first and set a target of 184 runs for Pakistan to win. For Team India, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma (36) and Prabhsimran Singh (35) made a brilliant start and thrashed the Pakistani fast bowlers. Both of them made a partnership of 68 runs in the powerplay itself.

Tilak Verma (44), who is captaining Team India in the tournament, also had a slow start but later he tried to pick up the pace. In the last overs, Ramandeep Singh showed some speed and made an important contribution of 17 runs. On the other hand, Rasikh Dar hit a six on the last ball to take the team to 183 runs. For Pakistan, spinner Sufiyan Maqim took 2 important wickets for 28 runs.

Pakistan A's team had a disappointing start while chasing the target and two batsmen of the team returned to the pavilion at just 21 runs. After this, Yasir Khan and Qasim Akram together handled the innings. Pakistan A's team could score only 176 runs after losing seven wickets in the over. Arafat Minhas played the best innings of 41 runs from Pakistan A's side. Apart from Arafat Minhas, Yasir Khan scored 33 runs.

Anshul Kamboj gave the first big success to Team India A. Anshul Kamboj took the maximum of three wickets from Team India A. Apart from Anshul Kamboj, Rasikh Dar Salam and Nishant Sindhu took two wickets each.
