India vs South Africa 2nd Test: The second day of the second Test match between India and South Africa has ended. The second day belonged entirely to South Africa, with Muthusamy in particular troubling the Indian bowlers. At the end of the day's play, India scored nine runs without any loss in the first innings and currently trail South Africa by 480 runs. At stumps, Yashasvi Jaiswal was at the crease with seven runs and KL Rahul with two runs. South Africa had scored 489 runs in the first innings.

South Africa's innings progressed to 247 today. Senuran Muthusamy and Kyle Verreynne shared an 88-run partnership for the seventh wicket. Verreynne was dismissed for 45. Marco Yanson then began his innings with a blistering swashbuckling innings, smashing seven sixes in his innings, making history. He became the joint-highest batsman to score the most centuries in a Test innings against India. Afridi had previously hit seven sixes in an innings in 2006.

Earlier, Senuran Muthusamy scored his first Test century, scoring 109 runs off 206 balls with two sixes and 10 fours. Marco Yanson scored 93 runs off 91 balls with seven sixes and six fours. South Africa's first innings ended at 489.

Kuldeep Yadav took the most wickets for India in the first innings, taking three wickets on the first day and one on the second day. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each.

Due to poor light, play on the second day ended without a completed over. Team India had scored 9 runs in 6.1 overs in their first innings. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal held the wickets until the end of the day's play. Rahul remained unbeaten on 7 off 14 balls, while Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 7 off 23 balls. Both will resume India's first innings on the third day.

“It was a special moment in front of this full house,” said Muthusamy, who enters the record books as the first batter to score a test hundred in Guwahati. “I am glad to contribute and help put up big runs in the first innings, which is always important. The plan was to build partnerships and to extend the innings as much as possible. We will see now how the pitch unfolds over the next three days.”

Senuran Muthusamy scored 109 runs off 206 balls, hitting 10 fours and two sixes. This was Muthusamy's first Test century.
