Ben Stokes Injured, PAK vs ENG Test Series: England will play a three-match test series in Pakistan tour. The first test will start in Multan on Monday. England captain Ben Stokes will not playing in this test due to hamstring injury. Stokes himself said this after practice today. Still not fully recovered from injury sustained while playing in 'The Hundred' tournament two months ago Said Stokes.

“I tried my hardest to get myself fit for this game,” Stokes told reporters. “But have taken the call to miss this one because I’ve not quite managed to get game ready.”

All-rounder Stokes was at team practice on Friday and Saturday, batting in the nets and bowling a few deliveries with a short start.

But the skipper said he was “not sure” he would participate in the second Test – also in Multan and slated for October 15.

In the absence of Stokes, Pace All-rounder Chris Woakes may get a chance to play his first Test outside the country in the last two and a half years. This will be his first test in the Asian continent after 2016. Oli Pope will take over as England captain for the fourth consecutive match in Stokes's absence. Pope Was the captain of England in the 2-1 Test series win at home last August-September.

A three-match Test series is to be played between Pakistan and England. Pakistan's form is not good and England will be looking to take advantage of this.
