The Board of Control for Cricket in India has finally announced the dates of the remaining IPL matches, the final as well as the playoffs.

The 17th edition of the IPL has begun and already we have witnessed some high voltage action. Every season brings a unique experience and the

17th edition promises to add an air of excitement. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has finally announced the dates of the matches that were not confirmed. It is now confirmed that no games will be held abroad. The tournament will witness 74 matches with the playoffs to be played at Chennai and Ahmedabad while the final will be played at Chennai's Chepauk stadium. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be played on May 21st and 22nd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad while Qualifier 2 and final will be played at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium on May 24th and May 26th respectively.

The playoffs games venues to be played at Chennai and Ahmedabad were almost certain. Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings were the finalists of the last season which is why the two venues have been chosen for playoffs with Chennai to host the final. The first match of this season was also held in Chennai. BCCI had earlier released the dates of the first 21 games. The governing body has prepared the schedule with the 22nd match to be held on Monday- the 8th of April. The second leg will begin with Chennai Super Kings facing Kolkata Knight Riders and it will be a night match. Earlier there were rumours that the BCCI was planning to move some matches be the second leg to the UAE. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has cleared that no matches would be played out of India as the BCCI has scheduled the matches with a thorough plan covering all Indian cities.

The Lok Sabha elections will be held from the 19th of April till the 1st of June with the results to be announced on the 4th of June. So the main concern of the BCCI was the security issues but the BCCI has planned the schedule well with matches to be played on a home and away format

so the dates won't clash with the election dates. Two matches will be played at Dharamshala, which is the home ground of Punjab Kings. Punjab Kings will play two matches against Chennai Super Kings on May 5th while the team will face Rajasthan Royals on May 9th at this venue. Rajasthan Royals will play Punjab Kings on the 15th of May and Kolkata Knight Riders on the 19th of May.

Rajasthan will play their two matches at Guwahati. Delhi will play their first game at the Arun Jaitley stadium on April 20th against Sunrisers Hyderabad while Mumbai will face Chennai Super Kings on the 14th of April at Wankhede Stadium. CSK will play Rajasthan Royals on the 12th of May at Chepauk and if CSK doesn't qualify for the playoffs then it could well be the last IPL game of MS Dhoni in Chennai. Gujarat Titans and CSK will face each other at Chepauk on the 10th of May. The playoffs will be played from the 21st of May after a day's break on the 20th of May.
