2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy:
Cricket Australia has announced the schedule of the Border Gavaskar Trophy to be held every year between India and Australia. Indian cricket team will go on Australia tour in 2024 i.e. at the end of this year.

For the first time in the history of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, 5 matches will be played between the two teams. The first match of this two month long tour will be played from November 22. Perth Stadium will host the first match. At the same time, the Adelaide Oval ground will host the day-night pink ball test match will start from 6th December.

The third Test match will start from December 14 in Brisbane. The fourth Test will be held in Melbourne on December 26, i.e. Boxing Day. The last match of the series will start in Sydney on January 3rd of the new year.

After 32 years in the history of Test series between India and Australia both teams will play 5 matches instead of 4. Earlier in 1991-92, a 5-match Test series was played between India and Australia. That series was played in Australia. In that time Indian team was defeated 1-4.

First Test: November 22-26: Perth

Second Test: 6-10 December: Adelaide (Pink Ball Test)

Third Test: December 14-18: Brisbane

Fourth Test: December 26-30: Melbourne

Fifth Test: 3-7 January: Sydney.
