According to BCCI sources, the team India Squad for the ICC T20 World Cup starting from June 2 will be announced on the very last day of the ICC i.e. May 1. The selection committee of BCCI is going to sit in the last week of April to choose the best team.

Team India's campaign in the T20 World Cup being played in America is to start with the match against Ireland on June 5. The final match of the T20 World Cup will be played on June 29.

According to the report of Times of India, Team India will be announced by BCCI on May 1 itself. By May 1, more than half of the IPL matches will have been played and the players who performed well during the IPL are likely to get attention. Not only this, ICC has also given time till May 25 to make changes in the team. In such a situation, changes can be seen in the team even before the IPL final. The IPL final is to be played on 26 May.

The Indian team failed to win the ODI World Cup after losing the final last year. Now team is really egar to win the Upcoming T20 World Cup. Therefore, the Indian Cricket Board wants to send the best team to the T-20 World Cup. And now it is known when India's T-20 World Cup team can be announced.

Rohit Sharma will be The Captain

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already made it clear that the responsibility of captaincy in the T20 World Cup will remain with Rohit Sharma. Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of Team India in the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, it is almost certain that Virat Kohli will also get a chance to play in the T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh can be seen taking charge of the fast bowling during the T20 World Cup.

May be Yashasvi Jaiswal will be seen playing the responsibility of opening along with Rohit Sharma. Suryakumar Yadav can play at number 4. Either Sanju Samson or Jitesh Sharma will have the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi can command the spin department.

However many ex Cricketers and Experts are giving their opinions about Team India Squad selection. Among them Former Cricketer Sunil Gavaskar talks about Rajasthan Royals's Player Riyan Parag for selection.

"He is somebody that the selection committee has kept an eye on. All he needs to do is keep playing," Sunil Gavaskar said about Riyan Parag in Star Sports' mid-innings discussion.

Riyan Parag is one of the players who is in focus with a stellar display in the IPL. The Rajasthan Royals player has scored three half-centuries in his last four matches, including one on Wednesday against Gujarat Titans. In his last 15 T20 innings Parag has scored 10 fifties (771 runs, average 90, 170.7 strike-rate).

Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad, however, has a concrete idea about the batting unit he wishes to see in the Indian team.

"Shivam Dube for his striking ability against spinners, Surya for being the best T20 international batter and Rinku Singh for his exceptional finishing ability. It will be great if India finds a way to have these 3 in the 11 in the T20 WC. With Virat and Rohit, this will leave a spot for just a keeper batsman. Interesting to see how it pans out," he posted on social media.

In this post on X (formerly Twitter), Prasad advocated the inclusion of lesser-experienced stars like Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav while also asserting the importance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the team. It's only the wicket-keeper's spot that Prasad isn't clear about.

Team India has not won any ICC trophy since 2016. Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, they won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2016. And the last time they won the T-20 World Cup was in that first season in 2007.

So all the fans will hope that BCCI will select perfect team which eventually brings that trophy.
