Rajasthan Royals Beat Royal Challengers Bangaluru

Kohli's Bengaluru take on Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Saturday (April 6). Bengaluru gave Rajasthan a target of 184 runs at the end of the first innings. Virat Kohli scored his 8th IPL hundred.

After losing the toss and came for batting first, Bangaluru got off to a good start with Virat Kohli and Du Plessis. The two added 125 runs for the first wicket. However, despite not losing a wicket, the runs did not progress very quickly. The team scored 125 runs in 14 overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal returned Plessis who scored 44 runs. After that, the pace of the run decreased further. Glenn Maxwell's quick delivery failed to produce any results. Maxi returned to 1 run after playing 3 balls. Chahal also returned Saurabh Chauhan who scored 9 runs.

Then Cameron Green came down but he could not do anything with the bat. 5 runs from 6 balls came from Green's bat. Kohli alone pulled the team. Bengaluru collected 183 runs in his fighting innings.

Kohli scored a 67-ball century. At the end of the innings, the star batsman scored 113 runs from 72 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes.

For Rajasthan Royals Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets and also became the highest wicket taker of TATA IPL 2024. Chahal now is Purple Cap holder he took it from Mustafizur Rahman. Chahal now has 8 wickets in the tournament, Mustafiz 7.

In response to the target of 184 Rajasthan suffered a setback early on as Yashasvi Jaiswal goes for duck on his very second ball. He was caught out in Reece Topley's ball.

But then from here captain Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler gave Rajasthan a super fast start of the innings. Buttler completed his half century in 30 balls. Rajasthan captain Samson took 33 balls to reach his half-century. After scoring half-centuries, both continued to lead the team quickly to the victory.

Samson stopped with 69 runs. He hit eight fours and two sixes in his 42-ball innings. The strike rate was 164.29. Samson's innings was ended by Mohammad Siraj.

Then Ryan Parag came to the crease. He departed with 4 runs off 4 balls. Dhruv Jurel also returned with 2 runs off 3 balls. But Shimron Hetmyer accompanied Butler by scoring 11 runs in 6 balls.

On the other hand, Jos Buttler scored an incredible century. Buttler was 94 when Rajasthan needed 1 more run to win. That means 6 runs are still needed to score a century. Buttler hit a six to complete his team's victory as well as his own century. As a result, Rajasthan won by 6 wickets with five balls in hand. Buttler scored 100 runs off 58 balls.
It was Buttler's 7th IPL Century.

Now after winning this match Rajasthan Royals claimed the no.1 position at Point Table of TATA IPL 2024 with four wins out of four matches.
