This is the sixth edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier. Total Ten Teams will compete in this Qualifiers with two finalists of the tournament will enter ICC Women's T20 World Cup scheduled latter in this year in Bangladesh.

Eight of the competiting teams enter the tournament having earned their spot via regional qualifiers.
Thailand and UAE claimed the two spots in the Asia Qualifier, with Netherlands and Scotland prevailing in Europe. Uganda and Zimbabwe advanced via the Africa Qualifier, while one spot was available each across the Americas and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers, claimed by USA and Vanuatu respectively.

Having missed out on automatic T20 World Cup 2024 qualification via their finishing postitions at T20 World Cup 2023, Sri Lanka and Ireland move back down to the forthcoming global qualifier to earn their spot.

Format of the Tournament:

The teams have been put into two groups of five, with sides playing everyone in their group once.
Top-two finishers in the group stage move onto the semi-finals, with teams finishing first in their groups meeting the second-place finisher in the opposing group. The winners of the semi-finals claim the final ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 spots, before meeting in the 7 May Final for tournament bragging rights.

A total of 20 matches will be played during the Group stage after which the top two teams from each Group will play the semi-finals.
The winners of both semi-finals will qualify for the main event.
