Devon Conway, who represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) over the course of the last two IPL seasons, played 23 matches and scored 924 runs, which included 9 half-centuries and a highest score of 92*.

The New Zealand opener Devon Conway of Chennai Super Kings was injured before the start of IPL. This time he was knocked out of the entire tournament. CSK has taken English pacer Richard Gleeson as his replacement.

Richard Gleeson made his debut in the England team in 2022 with T20 format. The 36-year-old pacer has played 6 matches for the country so far, taking 9 wickets. He took 28 wickets in 21 List 'A' matches.

Additionally, Gleeson has played 90 T20s and picked 101 T20 wickets. He will join Chennai Super Kings for his reserve price of INR 50 Lac.

CSK'S Another foreign Pacer Mustafizur Rahman is with them till May 1. Gleeson was included in the team by the defending champions, taking into account Fizz's absence and Conway's rulled-out.

Incidentally, Conway suffered a fractured finger in the series against Australia last February. Due to which this opener could not play in the Test series against Australia. As a result, he was dropped from some IPL matches. This time he was knocked out of the entire tournament.

Conway was instrumental in Chennai's title journey last year. He was man of the match after playing an innings of 47 runs off 25 balls against Gujarat Titans.
