Team India Entered the Final of Women's Asia Cup 2024 after Defeating Bangladesh by 10 Wickets

Team India in Women's Asia Cup 2024 Final: Indian women's cricket team has made it to the final of Asia Cup T20 2024. Team India, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the semi-finals on Friday. Team India showed excellence first in bowling and then in batting.
Earlier in this Semi-Final match Bangladesh cricket team gave India a target of 81 runs to win. In this match being held at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Bangladesh women's team won the toss and decided to bat first and Team India's bowling limited Bangladesh to 80 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Captain and wicketkeeper Nigar Sultana was the only consistent batsman from Bangladesh women's team, who faced 51 balls. However, his struggling innings of 32 runs was ended by Radha Yadav.
In the match, India's Renuka Singh Thakur took three wickets for 10 runs in four overs. Radha Yadav also bowled brilliantly and took three wickets for 14 runs in four overs. Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma got 1-1 wicket.
In response to the target of 81 runs, Team India achieved this target in 11 overs without losing any wicket. Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 55 runs in 39 balls and Shefali Verma remained unbeaten on 26 runs. Mandhana hit nine fours and one six in her innings, while Shefali hit two fours.

With this victory, the Indian team has reached the final of the Women's Asia Cup for the ninth time. Women's Asia Cup was started in 2004 and Team India became the champion then. The Indian women's cricket team is on a mission to win the eighth Asia Cup title. He has won four titles in ODI format and three titles in T20 format.
Till 2008, this tournament was played in ODI format. At the same time, since 2012 it is being played in T20 format. This is the ninth edition and India has won the title seven times (2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2022). Bangladesh (2018) is the only other team to win the Women's Asia Cup title.
India will now play against the winner of the Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Semifinal 2 on July 28 in the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
