Tanush Kotian Added to India's Squad for the Fourth and Fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Mumbai's off-spin all-rounder Tanush Kotian has been included in the Indian team for the Boxing Day Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kotian has been given a chance in the absence of Akshar Patel. He had earlier toured Australia with the India A team and has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket.

Kotian, who is playing the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Ahmedabad, will leave Mumbai on Tuesday and reach Melbourne before the Boxing Day Test. According to sources, Akshar Patel was supposed to go to Australia but he has asked for a break after the first two matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy due to family commitments.
According to a report by Sportstar, BCCI may send Tanush Kotian to Melbourne for the Australia tour. He plays for Mumbai. Tanush is a spin bowling all-rounder. Tanush has taken more than 100 wickets in first class. He has also scored a century in this format. Along with this, he has also performed well in List A. After Ashwin's departure, there is currently a vacancy in Team India. Therefore, he can be given a chance.

He has taken 20 wickets in 20 List A matches. He has also performed well in the T20 format.
