Suryakumar Yadav is Out from the First Round of Duleep Trophy 2024 Due to Injury
Suryakumar Yadav is not playing in the first round match of Duleep Trophy. Injuries won't heal in time while playing Buchi Babu competition. So he decided not to play in the first round.
Suryakumar Yadav's Injury Update: Star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been eliminated from the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024. He will not be able to play due to injury. Duleep Trophy is going to start from 5th September. Surya recently got injured while playing for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament. His hand was injured. It was believed that Suryakumar's injury was not very serious but after being out of the first round, the tension of the Indian fans has increased a bit.
Surya is the captain of the Indian T20 team. India has to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh from September 19. After that, both the teams will face each other in a three-match T20 series from October 6.
Suryakumar played for Mumbai in Buchi Babu competition in Coimbatore. He got injured while fielding on the third day of the match against TNCA XI. He could not bat in the second innings. NCA doctors have asked him to rest for now.
A few days ago, Suryakumar said that he is willing to return to the Test team. India will play 10 Tests in the coming days. Wanted to get a place in that team. But this injury put some water on Surya's dream.
Almost all the top tier cricketers will play in the first round of Duleep Trophy. The Bangladesh series team will also be selected based on the performance of this competition. If Surya does not play, there may be a problem with Bangladesh getting a chance in the Test series.
Surya has played only one Test so far. Last year against Australia. He was in the India 'C' team in the Duleep Trophy. India was scheduled to take on the 'D' team at Anantapur. It is not happening for now.

The first Test of the two-match IND vs BAN Test series will be held in Chennai, starting on September 19th. The second Test between India and Bangladesh will take place in Kanpur, beginning on September 27th.
